Yezi Arts has earmarked 2012 as the year for the return of the AITF after 5 years absence. The festival has been redesigned from its initial model and this time around covers 4 days as against its initial 7 days with a reduced number of participants. The AITF 2012 will be held in Lusaka from 26th April, 2012 to 29th April, 2012. Participants will be drawn from Zimbabwe, Malawi and Zambia. Mostly, new productions are expected covering various themes of culture, development, governance and health to be staged at the festival which will attract 4 Zambian groups, 1 Zimbabwean group and 1 from Malawi. The spectacle is expected to bring together the artists, audience, policymakers and the business community as all parties stand to benefit.
UNCTAD XIII LOGOPOLICY DIALOGUE ON CREATIVE ECONOMY FOR DEVELOPMENT

The High-level Policy Dialogue on the Creative Economy at UNCTAD XIII aims to further support governments to enhance their creative economies, as a feasible development option for advancing socio-economic growth, trade and innovation. Debates will focus on the main findings and policy recommendations of the Creative Economy Report 2010. The panel will discuss policy strategies, multilateral processes, national experiences and concrete initiatives for enhancing their creative economies. Over the last decade, the topic of creative economy became well-inserted into the international economic and development agenda, calling for new insights and policy responses.
