Gerard Devoud is a local artist producing abstract watercolour paintings of the archipelago. Devoud enjoys a popular following not only in Seychelles, but also in Europe and the USA. The artist’s paintings portray the kaleidoscopic beauty of Seychelles and his canvases typically feature slashes of brilliant red, green and yellow. Each of his paintings and silk screens comes with a certificate of authenticity. Devoud has permanent exhibitions at the Les Mamelles and Val Mer Art Galleries.
